Contemporary Mexican woven wall hangings blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics, often incorporating vibrant colors, geometric patterns, and natural materials like wool and cotton. Many artisans draw inspiration from indigenous weaving traditions, particularly from Oaxaca and Chiapas, while experimenting with new textures and abstract designs.

There hasn't been definitive research on schools or shops making these so unless this is marked somewhere (I see the initial B in one corner but don't see anything else), it's hard to say with 100% certainty where, when or who made this but when ones of this size come up at auction, they usually between $75-125 (note this may be less than dealers or private sellers may be asking for ones they're selling).
