Hello!
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Vetreria Murano Arte (often abbreviated as VMA) is a prestigious glassmaking company based on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. The small snowflake-shapes that profusely decorate this lovely vase are referred to as "murrines," made by bundling thin, colorful glass sections or canes and then cutting them into cross-sections.
While these pieces can command comparatively high prices when sold through an authorized gallery of dealer of Murano glass, the secondary market - auction - usually don't obtain such high prices; similar vases to yours that have sold at auction recently have brought prices ranging from $50-150.
