Pair ofChinese Bobble Head Figurine
Pair of porcelain polychrome enameled Chinese figures with nodding heads. Delicately formed flowers crown the hats of the two figures. Each figure is holding the end of a staff with a hole in it (incense holder?). Stamped on the bottom with 9 or 10 marks. The heads pull out roughly 4” inches very unusual design. Each measures 15.5 inches tall and 3.5” inches wide at the base.
Purchased from a wealthy family in the Chicago area. They brought it back to America from a trip to Asia.

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a pair of enamel colours decorated chinese porcelain figurines, depicting Qing Dynasty court ladies holding a ruyi (?), manufactured very recently purely for home decor. A ten character chinese impressed mark at the base. Such statues are quite often sold in hotel shops where the previous might have bought it in the late 1990s or even later. The estimate is based on auction results for similar. A hole in a statue is necessary to avoid firing flaws.
