26 July 2018
Description

This is a porcelain Chinese vase that has a underglaze blue Qianlong seal mark, enameled with bats, lanterns, peonies and fish. Under a loop the glaze has hundreds to thousands of bubbles only found in Chinese antiques due to the firing process in the wood Kelms and is impossible to recreate this bubble effect in modern pieces with gas and/or electric.

Provenance

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a late 20th century chinese porcelain vase, outlines and six character Da Qing Qian Long Nian Zhi mark transfer printed, some additional hand coloring. These vases were made to deceive and from a western point of view should be regarded a fake. Nonetheless some people like these home decor vases, prices at online auctions are within the 1 to 50 USD range including shipping from Hong Kong.
