Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
R.R.P. Co. stands for Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co., which was in Roseville, Ohio. The firm began around 1900 when brothers (including Frank Ransbottom) started a pottery operation in Roseville, Ohio, making stoneware and other utilitarian ceramics. Over time, the company produced stoneware crocks, mixing bowls, pitchers, planters and similar items, many marked “R.R.P Co – Roseville Ohio USA.”
Their products are especially associated with “farmhouse kitchen” style, vintage utilitarian stoneware, and stoneware with blue-band or blue sponge decorations.
At auction, jars in a condition such as this usually sell for comparatively modest sums, typically between $50-75
