Very good condition, I would assume that this is a newer rug. Heavy, no tags, looks like a couple of dirt marks near the fringe end. Last professionally cleaned 2019.
48-1/2 x 72-1/2 inches plus fringe
Hi Richard,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Like your runner, the hexagonal medallions and lush floral and bird-filled ground denote this to a Persian Qashqai or Shiraz tribal rug, most likely handwoven in the Fars Province of southwestern Iran.
Area rugs of this vintage and condition usually sell for between $1,200-1,500 at auction, though rug dealers would likely ask much higher prices for ones they are selling.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Persian Qashqai or Shiraz tribal hand-knotted wool area rug

In cream and brown earth tones, with two hexagonal medallions on a cream-colored ground densely decorated, within brown and cream borders, with cream selvedges (fringe trim).
48-1/2 x 72-1/2 inches (approx 4 by 6 feet)
CONDITION: Last cleaned in 2019; appears to be in good condition; value assumes no tears, stains, odors or repairs.
