What does this mean?

Hello again Jesus,

Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. The item presented appears to be another lithographic print after a painting by Spanish Surrealist artist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989), titled "The Chemist" from a suite titled "The Professions." The print measures 28 x 36 inches and appears to be dated to 1971 in plate and 1974 to the document. The print appears to be signed in plate within the image and to the margin. As mentioned previously, I'd encourage you to confirm the print's authenticity before selling.

The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of this work and other comparable lithographic prints attributed to Salvador Dalí. The estimate is contingent on a full condition report and it's authenticity. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.

This is a conditional appraisal, which means that we have not verified the authenticity of this item. Click here to learn more about the authentication resources that Mearto offers.

Hello Jesus,
Thank you for the additional photo. That text confirms that the print was printed after Dalí and without permission from his estate. As the text notes, the signature is a facsimile and the print was published by Max Inter, Ltd in 1989 rather than the Salvador Dalí estate.
