Small trinket or snuff box that appears to be made of tortoiseshell. There is a gold crane painted on the top. There are background designs of a swampy area with cat-tails

The box was in my grandmother's things. There is a handwritten note inside that says that it was a gift from grandmother Anderson to K at Christmas. The K is either my grandmothers sister (born in 1904) or my grandmothers's mother (born in 1869). The 1904 seems more likely.
