Two matching hand made Windsor chairs by Zimmerman family settled in Ohio in early 1800s

Description

Very decent condition considering age over 200 years old, all handmade wood joining joints Windsor fan back hand carved 2 inch thick seat shaped for comfort box stretchers on bottom . legs joints can be seen from top of seat , you can feel the ridges of the hand carving that was done on legs and back spindles. Zimmerman Family from Germany were carpenters by trade.. there were four but two were taken by other family member..

15.5” x 14” seat backOf chair is fanned out 19” across, both chairs are 33” tall from bottom of leg to top of back. Back legs are 17” tall front legs are 16” tall wooden seats are 1.5 inches thick and very comfortable to sit in
