Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be an early 20th century japanese liquor store shop sign, advertising Kasutori Shōchū (焼酎), a japanese distilled beverage. The inscriptions read: 純良糟取 燒酌 發賣元 and 大錦 天下一品. The reproduced medals apparently refer to the gold medals won at consumer exhibitions. The wooden board is decorated with black japanese lacquer, partly gilt and also silver lacquer is applied. The overall condition is good. Similar shops signs have been sold at auction, the estimate is based on these results. As always asking prices in the trade can be higher and vary.
