An antique Colonial Revival Federal style mahogany or maple writing desk on stand
unattributed maker, probably American, early 20th Century
Of rectangular section and in two pieces; the upper section a hinged slant-lid box surmounted by a backsplash, the molded edged lid opening to an open well with pen channel and the pierced brass bail handles affixed to the sides, on a frane with outset molded edge and molded legs joined by a X-stretcher. Unsigned.
Height: 33-1/2 inches; width: 20 inches; depth: 18 inches
