It depicts a sleight pulled by five horses which are chased by two wolves. Two coachmen in Russian costumes try to escape or fight back with a rifle. This motif is common especially in the Russian and Middle-European art around 1900. The painting is signed "A. Guard". Sadly no further information of the biography is mentioned for this artist in auction records or similar databases.
This piece is in damaged condition and the surface of the painting is soiled.
