Thank you for your request. The presented object is a painting made in oil paint on canvas with the measurements of 15" x 12". It depicts a still life with a porcelain figurine of a woman, a plate, and an inkwell with a devils figurine. The artist arranged this trivial objects in a composition so the objects come alive. The devil looks up to the nude woman who hides her face ashamed. The painting is titled on the reverse side "Beauty and the Beast" which expresses this confrontation. The painting is signed by the Canadian painter Henri Zotique FABIEN (1878-1935) and dated 1929 in the right corner.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 300 to 500 USD.
