I know very little about this clock except for the information provided at auction. Circa 1870. Movement Marked Gustav Becker & A. Stingl. It unfortunately does not work. I wound it up and hung the pendulum. I can hear it ticking and the arms move as long as the pendulum is swinging but it won’t stay swinging. I’m not a collector but bought it because it’s unique and I liked the red face and the intricate metal work. I’m looking to sell it because it doesn’t work. I’ve heard repairing it decreases the value. There is also a slight crack to the face glass on the side.
