This is an antique early 20th century framed still life image of daffodil flowers. The framing is stamped E.H. & A.C. Friedrichs Co of New York (note, not Friericks). Friedrichs was an artist's supply company and the stamp refers to the framing size and pattern name. The image of daffodils appears to be done in pastel. Usually pastel is framed using spacers between the glass/matting and the artwork to keep the pastel for rubbing off on to the glass nor being smudged. It is possible this is a print reproduction (more extreme, clear close-ups may help to definitively state if this is an original pastel or color print reproduction of a pastel). The work is initialed E.S. and was done by an unlisted, hobbyist artist. It was common in that era for women to do floral still life pictures as a hobby for their decorating their home and gifts to friends and family members. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary. Please add some clear, in-focus, extreme close-ups of the surface of the picture to show the texture.
