What does this mean?

This is a vintage, 3rd quarter 20th century original 'vanitas' painting with a floral still life, fruit, and dead dove. The painting is illegibly signed at lower right. A vanitas is a symbolic statement on how life is fleeting; these are fruits, flowers and a living creature that will all eventually decay. This was a popular theme in Baroque era painting. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
