Dear Lee,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you let me know if your work comes with a certificate of authenticity?
Thanks,

Dear Lee,
Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
The appraised item (acrylic on linen) appears to be by the Aboriginal female artist Jacqueline Reid Nakamarra (b.1958, Papunya). The dimensions are approx. 100 cm x 150 cm. The condition appears to be very good. This item comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Jacqueline Reid Nakamarra is one of the pioneers of the artistic movement in the western desert among women and a famous artist. Her paintings are often associated with the rocky site of Lupul, Lupulnga south of Kintore and mostly refer to sacred sites from this region.
The estimation highlighted in red above is based on comparables offered and sold at auction in the last five years. The subject work’s size, composition, condition (based on photographs and comments provided), and the artists’ current auction market were taken into consideration when determining the estimate. In many cases, pricing for similar items available on the primary (retail) market vary and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples.
Best regards,
Karine
