This mantle clock is a Japy Freres clock from (presumably) the late 1800's. It depicts a hunting scene and has a gilded finish. The clock sits under a glass dome. It is from France. I don't know much else about it. Condition - there is some wear on the gilded finish (seen in pictures). The clock runs but doesn't keep time well - it needs to be serviced. Otherwise it is in good shape with the glass dome (amazingly) still intact.
22"L x 10"W x 25" tall (top of glass dome) or 20" tall for just the clock itself.

Hi Delia,
To the best of my knowledge, this is the original glass dome. The clock has been in my family for over 100 years, and has had the same dome in that time. The glass is wavy and has occasional small air bubbles and inclusions in it. It looks like "old" glass. And at least as far as my family memory goes - this clock is from the mid-to-late 1800's, not the 1700's. But memory can skew, so I'm not really sure. Thanks!
