Appears to be a French style oil painting on canvas signed Rojas. It has a stamp on the backing Haviland Smith Galleries, Central Avenue, Charlotte NC and a stamp on the frame Anco Bilt, Dale NY. It measures approximately 24 x 20. I can't find any information on the artist, painting or gallery.
My son received it from an elderly customer who he was moving into a retirement home. He mentioned he liked it and they gave it to him.
Dear Lisa,
Thank you for your request. the presented object is a painting made in oil paint on canvas with the measurements of 20x 24 inches. It depicts a street scene of a French or Italian small village. The painting is signed in the right corner with Rolos or Rosos. Sadly no artist with such a name is mentioned in reference books or similar databases. This painting was made in the last third of the 20th century.
An estimation would be between 80 to 150 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
