Oil painting on canvas no artist signature
Large oil on canvas painted mostly all red background with a yellow and greenish vertical streak down middle, yellow painted border. No artist signature visible
I found this painting at a local goodwill it was initially priced at $99.00 however since it had been on the floor for 90 days they put it with the $1 Thursday items so I purchased it for $1. I dont know what to make of it so I bought it. I don't like it or dislike it.

This is a late 20th century framed original abstract style painting by a hobbyist. The work itself is based on (but definitely not by) the conceptual works of Barnett Newman "Zip" paintings. This painting was likely done by a student or hobbyist. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
