This is a canvas framed picture. it shows a brown standing up guitar in center of picture, has 3 music sheets, 2 on left side one being The Star Spangled Banner by Francis Scott Key 1814, other sheet in back of the one just mentioned just partially shows AMERICA. Below this is a jar similar to maybe a sugar jar white and brown. The right side shows a music sheet titled YANKEE DOODLE with a top side view of WEBSTER'S MONARCH DICTIONARY 1876 across the sheet. Right above this is a dish brown hue with decoration of a larger leaf and flowers. To the left of the dish and directly to the right of the guitar is a drinking mug sort of like a German beer mug, black, brown, white in color with two squiggly vertical flower designs one along side of the other. There is a black guitar playing stringer that you hold in your hand to play. At the bottom of this guitar is a long gold chain with 3 skeleton keys at end. May it is not a guitar but rather a fiddle!!!!!
In Wallingford CT, have had it for about 10 years
Dear Maria,
Thank you for your request. The presented object is a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with unknown measurements. It depicts a still-life with various objects which seem to have to connect to each other. On the second look, all objects are a reminiscence to the American history. The painting is signed Turner. This artist could be perhaps identified with the quite unknown artist Janson Turner and it was made in the US in the last third of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 250 to 500 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
Dear Maria,
Twrner does not make sense form a phonetical point of view. Thank you.
With kind regards,
Georg
The signature says, TWRNER not TURNER. I’m confused. Are you sure?
