It is an oil on canvas painting from 1955. It was done by a painter whose initials appear on the painting. Don't know name, the initials look like E. W. to me. He was in the Pasadena, Glendale area, California. He went by the nickname "Capo."

Thank you for the additional images and your patience. The apprised object is a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 28 x 24 inches. It depicts the portrait of a woman in a red dress. It is monogrammed with "E. W." and dated 55 (1955). Sadly for this artist, no further information of the biography are mentioned in auction records or similar databases so he remains unidentified.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
