Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a painting by Henry BENSON (1930-1998) in the tradition of Pointillism, depicting a boy at the beach. The artist is best known for such beach scenes but also New York scenes. Benson studied in Paris and New York and developed a destinctive style. The estimate is based on similar items sold at auction. So far only a few paintings were offered and sold, recent results can therefore only be an indication on the current market situtiation for Benson paintings. Prices in the trade and in galleries are usually higher and can vary.
